Rules

EVO RULES

SUPER SMASH BROS 64

  • Dream Land is the only legal stage.
  • If players want to use gentleman's rule, they must either use an everdrive (if any player has one, which I cannot supply for this tournament), or request an external 8 minute timer which I can supply.
  • 5 stocks
  • Best of 3 until top 8, which is best of 5
  • If one player is worried about their opponent counterpicking their character on the select screen for game 1, they may request a double blind pick which I will perform. Game 2 and 3, the winner of the previous game must choose their character first.
  • Players have a 20 minute grace period before being DQed. First the player will be DQed into losers. If the player is still not present by the time all other matches in the same round have been played, that player is DQed from the tournament.
  • All controllers are legal as long as they do not have any macros (rapidfire or a single input that performs multiple game inputs). This means Raphnet gamecube adapters and Karajan keyboard adapters with no macros or C stick support (meaning C sticks that do more than 1 input at a time) are allowed.
  • Items set to None
  • No handicap
  • Team Attack is ON during doubles.

  • Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
  • First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
  • Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
  • Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
  • Maximum allowed time between games is 60 seconds. Any player violating this rule will be issued a loss.
  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
