Rules

Genesis 4 rulesets with one modification: Neutral Starts are allowed for Melee, and must be carried out as follows:

  • One player much request a neutral start before the stage loads to begin the match. If not requested before this, the match must be started normally and cannot be restarted.
  • At the start of the match, each player must move their character to the side of the stage they spawned on, either right next to the ledge (FD) or on top of each of the two side platforms (All Other Stages), and then stop moving their character without performing any other move.
    • The players may begin acting again at 7:50 on the in-game clock. Acting before this time will reset the current game, which must then be started under the supervision of a Pool Captain or TO, if this occurs again by the same player after the reset, the offending player will forfeit the game.

Smash 4 Neutral starts are enforced automatically by the game, Smash 64 must use ports 2 & 4 for neutral starting positions.
