FINAL ROUND LLC proudly presents: FINAL ROUND 2018

March 16-18, 2018

Georgia International Convention Center

GA2000 Convention Center Concourse, Atlanta 30337

Schedule: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-WPpP5MZcPc1jmCfaaK_8L44wbmH62LFLLLokLd1q8U

Hello everyone, this is Larry and we can't wait to host you guys/girls again! This will mark our second year at the convention center. Of course I personally would like to thank everyone in the FGC, vendors, and the sponsors that have supported FINAL ROUND throughout the years because without you guys there wouldn't be any FINAL ROUND or scene!

First off with the positive feedback from attendees about the venue size last year we are back at the convention center again. With a 37,500 sqft exhibit hall to make sure every game event at FR2018 is in one room and not spread out like the dragon balls in different rooms! This will make it easier for those that like to compete in multiple games to be in the same room as the rest of the games! All of our online registration will be handled through smash.gg from the start. Doing this we will allow us to be able to produce pools for every game within the week the online registration was closed. No more waiting for pools a few hours before the event starts to know when you play.

let me say this right now in all caps:

I've tried to be fair to those that don't have paypal, but the time has come to stop door registration with an event of FR size to ensure we have a good schedule and nothing changing in the last minutes before the event. It's just not fair to the majority of those that pre register early to cater to the few to the few and cause possible scheduling issues. With that said please make sure you put all of your correct information in the smash.gg to properly seed you by state/region.

With FR19 being the only CPT event to completely fill a 1028 man tournament outside of Evolution we will have to go to the two day system for SFV with pool play starting on Friday March 10th, 2017 and ending on Saturday March 11th, 2017 to ensure we have enough time to complete pools without having people in a ballroom for 18 hours straight!

With T7 FR scheduled to be released before or around FR20 we are planning for huge numbers in that game also so we will have T7FR as a 2 day pool event also, so if you plan on entering either of those games you need to be here on thursday March 9th, 2017 regardless. The full schedule, floor plan, and streaming schedule will be released in a timely manner so those that plan to attend can do so properly. We are reaching numbers that we have to plan for an we have to make both of these game 2 day events to avoid the possible cluster we had at FR19. Just plan to be there for all three days if you're attending FR20!

Online Registration for your games are up now and you will receive a discount on the badge price based on the schedule below:

  • Early bird Online special $45 Player Badge if you register BEFORE October 31, 2017

  • $55 Player Badge if you register online BETWEEN November 1, 2017- December 31, 2017

  • $65 Player Badge Registration online BETWEEN January 1, 2018 - March 2, 2018

Thursday, March 15, 2018 - 4:00 PM EST to 9:00 PM EST badge pick up and on Friday, March 16, 2018 - 8:00 AM EST starts badge pick up's.

$30 Spectator fee. Children under the age of 10 (accompanied with parent) unless they are competing are free to spectate and elderly (ages 50 +) are also free to spectate. We will also have a lost badge fee of $10 for those that misplace your badge during the event, but you must show "PROOF OF PURCHASE" to receive the lost badge fee. If you "CAN NOT SHOW PROOF" of purchase you will have to PAY THE FULL BADGE AMOUNT TO ENTER THE EVENT AGAIN! If you are competing in ANY singles/teams/exhibition/side tournament at "FR2018 YOU MUST GET A COMPETITOR'S BADGE TO COMPETE DURING FR2018!"

We care about our attendants and since we aren't in a hotel venue anymore we went out and got a group rate hotel rooms at several hotels. We have the hotel that is right next to the event venue is the Marriott. This location cost more than our usual group rate, but it's right next to the venue so no catching a shuttle to the event. Our second hotel is the Crowne Plaza over by Spondivits. This hotel has smoking or non smoking rooms and is closer to the price range you are use to when attending FR. To reserve a room under the FINAL ROUND 2018 group rate you would need to click on the following links or call the hotel directly at:

I have 300 rooms reserved at the Marriott and 100 rooms reserved at the Crowne Plaza. Please reserve them asap because the sooner we sell these rooms the more likely they will release more rooms to our group. They will release more rooms but only if we sell our group out early! Remember they sell rooms to other people outside of our group rate. This year since we now know that the convention center has to close at 10:30pm each day with no exceptions we are going to have a 24 hour arcade/byoc ballroom at the Marriott gateway!

We want to give you a place to play all night if you choose to without being cramp 20 deep in one bedroom! This will be free to everyone attending FR 2018! We have no ability to have a 24 hour venue in our main exhibit hall, but hopefully this is the next best thing!

Here's the list of games that are on the official tournament line up:

Games: (Singles) 16 man pool play/double elimination.

Street Fighter V (PS4) - $10 (Fri and Sat) 1024 man cap

Super Street Figher 2 Turbo - Arcade cab - $10 (Fri)

NBA2k18 - PS4 - $10 (Sat - Sun)

FOR HONOR - PS4 -$20 per team (Friday)

All team/Community ran events will be must held on Friday March 16, 2018 as this is the only day we have available to run them in a timely manner. All team/exhibitions/community events must get approved by ME to be ran at FR2018 period! Any "Community event" will be ran by the communities that requested their game to be played at FR2018. Remember that if the game is labeled Community event that doesn't mean it won't happen. If I allow it at FR then it's a tournament regardless of the label. Hence the name EVENT in the title. We would just need some help with the systems/games and you will have an area to play and run the tournament. All community events registration will be at the door only.

If you've been to FR you know we always have an arcade for everyone to enjoy as it helps remind our younger generation where this scene came from! With that being said we want to bring back the old school arcade tournament at FR2018. Just like the old school arcade scene you will have to register for your game at the event, but you can take advantage of the early bird online pay for your badges.

We will have multiple streams for FR2018 for those that can not attend the event to get a small taste of the event, but we will not have dedicated game streams unless the producers of the game sponsor those streams. With getting a new venue comes new venue cost and I can't afford to have 6 streams dedicated to a genre of gaming without sponsorship help. This isn't a slight to any group of players but I can't afford it anymore. We will try to put as many games on stream in an evenly fashion, but no promises will be made. If you want to see everything at FR2018 you should attend to take it all in TBH. We are glad to have the following streamers for FR2018:

CPT - http://www.twitch.tv/capcomfighters

FunkyP (Anime/umvc3) - http://www.twitch.tv/funkyp

Kombatnetwork - http://www.twitch.tv/kombatnetwork

Bifuteki - http://www.twitch.tv/bifuteki

The cosplay event will be back and we are adding a twist. We will have 3 categories to can compete in this year! We will have best gaming, best in anime, and best technical. CosPlay contest will be on Saturday March 17, 2018 5:30pm-6pm est. We can not wait to see everyone back this year and hopefully some new faces also! See you guys soon and thank you for the continued support!

Getting There

If you are traveling Via Airplane The "ATL SkyTrain" gives the GICC a convenience unique among convention centers: guests can land at the airport, take a free ride to the GICC, and be there in a matter of a few minutes. The GICC station is the first stop along the ATL SkyTrain, transporting passengers from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The second and final stop is the new airport Rental Car Center (RCC). If you are staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel you would just take the free shuttle to the airport and then catch the "ATL SkyTrain" to the venue.

All games will be played on the default settings, unless otherwise specified, below.

All macros via the in-game controller configuration menu (ex: 3-punches, one-button dash) are allowed.

Hardware programmable input entry, rapid-fire, or other hardware assisted mechanisms are strictly forbidden.

Accidentally pausing the game at any time during the fight will force you to forfeit the round.

Any player using “Random Select” to pick their character, must “Random Select” again if they win the match, provided that there is no way to pick a certain character in the random box.

Blind pick is available to be called prior to the match starting. If blind pick is called both players must tell the judge/bracket runner the characters they plan to use. Once that is said that character must be used in that match!

Winner keeps the same character/s or team in the same order as used. Loser can change the character.

You must provide your own controller/converters for games played on all systems.

Brook Converters are allowed.

Cronus Max Plus and Titan One converters are banned.

Wireless controllers are allowed, but For ALL players who are playing PS4 games (INCLUDING PLAYERS WHO USE WIRED STICKS/CONTROLLERS): You must check the PS4 Bluetooth Devices menu before the start of each match to ensure that all old wireless controller pairings have been deleted. Players who use wireless controllers are unable to delete their own controller pairing from the system, which means that the responsibility for deleting that controller falls upon the next player who plays on that console. THIS IS EVERY PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY, EVEN THOSE WHO DO NOT USE WIRELESS CONTROLLERS.

The Wii U Gamepad (tablet controller) is not permitted for any Wii U tournament games. If you use a Wii Remote, then you must remove the batteries when the controller is not in use. If you use a Wii U Pro Controller, then the battery must be removed at ALL TIMES; use a USB cable to connect the controller to the Wii U console instead. Bracket runners reserve the right to disqualify players who do not obey controller rules.
