With the release of Splatoon 2, competitive Splatoon is evolving. New weapons, new abilities, new strategies. And we're here to put all that to the test.
InkStorm+ is a premier Splatoon 2 tournament starting with a round robin group stage, with each group's top teams advancing to a double-elimination bracket. The event is broadcast and organized by EndGameTV.
START: 1pm EDT on both days
Group Stage matches are a best-of-3 sets with 30 minutes allotted to each round
Top Cut Bracket Stage matches are a best-of-5 sets with 40 minutes allotted to each round.
Each team has 5 minutes from round start time to check in before losing a game.
At the start of each round, team captains must check their dashboard on this event page. The dashboard will display a team's next match. Upon clicking their match, a check in window will pop up. When both team captains check in, smash.gg will exchange each team's Switch friend code. Results will be directly reported through the smash.gg dashboard window.
The top 2 teams of each group advance to the main double elimination bracket (Top Cut)
3rd and 4th move into amateur bracket A (Silver Bracket), 5th and 6th move into amateur bracket B (Bronze Bracket)
Each Amateur bracket is single-elimination and runs best-of-3 sets until semifinals, where Top 4 and on runs best-of-5 sets.
Each player on a team must register.
A team captain must create a team before their players register. To create a team, the team captain must select the "Create new" button on the team search page. After registering, they can send team invites to their teammates, as well as approve members onto their team page.
After a team has been formed, team members can join simply by finding their team on the drop-down menu, or by accepting an invite from their captain.
Teams must consist of at least 4 players and may at most hold 8 players.
