Melee:
Melee will be run with the new MIOM Recommended ruleset with UCF with the following deviations/highlights:
Gentlemen's Clause is allowed only for stages. Any stage can be played at any time as long as both players agree and the stage was not banned by the person who won the previous game. This includes cases involving DSR; even if a player has won on a stage earlier in the set, if both players agree it can be played on. Gentlemen's Clause does not apply to rules; players CANNOT gentlemen different set lengths or different controller rules.
This tournament will be run with Modified DSR; a player cannot return to any stage they have won on during a set, unless both players agree to it (Gentleman's Clause). Players are allowed to return to stages they have banned earlier in the set, as long as they have not won on them.
Coaching IS ONLY PERMITTED between sets of Grand Finals. There is no mid-set coaching otherwise. The only time players are allowed to be coached is between sets of Grands or before a player sits down to play. Anyone found breaking this rule is in danger of not only DQing the player being coached but also being ejected from the venue.
If a player requests neutral start or neutral ports, the opponent must oblige and play with these rules. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a full DQ.
