SCS: Final Smash is South Coast Smash's final monthly tournament. Since February 2016, SCS has provided competitive tournaments with a focus on community. This final event will be a celebration of everything we built with a large send-off and a $500 pot bonus.
No Venue Fee!
To celebrate our amazing community, we are going out with a bang. There will be no venue fee for this event, allowing all cash to go straight to the pot.

After the singles and amateur brackets end, we will be celebrating the SCS legacy with Joust, possible crew battles, and whatever else the community would like to do. This is the end of a wonderful era, so let’s enjoy it to the fullest!
Giveaways and Side Events
SCS will be giving away more than a dozen prizes and will be setting up crew battles and other side events at the venue.

We have a massive hall that we rent out our events that can comfortably hold hundreds of players and spectators. There is free parking in lot 7, which is only a 4-minute walk to the venue.

Rules
*Judgment of Tournament Staff is final. Rules may be altered between phases of a tournament in the best interests of the event. *
We will be using the 2017 Recommended Ruleset
General Rules
- 2 stock, 6 Minutes (Singles)
- 3 stock, 8 minutes (Doubles)
- Items set to off
- Custom Fighters is set to OFF
- Mii Fighters are legal, but only at Default Size 1-1-1-1 moveset
- Amiibos are not allowed
- Best of 3 sets, Winners/Losers Semis, Finals, and Grands will be best of 5
- No excessive stalling
- Allowed controllers: Gamecube Controller, Wii U Pro Controller, Wiimote, 3DS (Wii U Gamepad is not allowed)
- Mid-set coaching is banned

To start a game, players will enact a best of 1 game of Rock Paper Scissors. Winner may select if they’d like to strike first or second, or choose their port priority. The loser will choose the remaining option.
* Treated as Battlefield in striking phase. If Battlefield is struck, Dream Land 64 is also struck and vice-versa.
** Treated as Final Destination in striking phase. If Final Destination is struck, Omega Stages are struck and vice versa. You may only choose the following Omega Stages: Suzaku Castle, Wily Castle, and Palutena's Temple.
