Event Rules

Participation:
  • Team Size: 5
  • Teams are allowed 1 alternate player
  • Alternates may only play in the event of another team member being unable to play
  • Alternates will not earn prizing unless they play in a sufficient amount of rounds
  • Tournament is open to any Alaska resident.
  • All skill levels welcome.
Conduct:
  • Players are expected to be respectful of each other. “Toxic” behavior is not prohibited.
  • Players must have appropriate in game and Discord names
  • If a tournament admin deems an in game/Discord name to be inappropriate, the player will need to change names, or ultimately forfeit
  • Not every game will be streamed; both teams will be notified before their game if their match will be displayed on stream.
Use of any offensive or derogatory username or team name will result in an automatic disqualification from the event.

Match Rules

Game Settings:

*Games will be played first to 13 rounds won. *If a game ends up in Overtime, teams must win by 2 rounds. (See enabling Competitive ruleset below).

  • Game hosting team determined between team captains, OR randomly (coin flip) if mutual agreement cannot be reached.
  • Teams who are reached out to by tournament moderators to be displayed on stream will be required to put their match on hold in order to invite the appropriate moderators as spectators.
  • Games will be played in the Tournament setting. This involves the Competitive ruleset, which must be enabled in the custom game settings.
  • All Agents allowed for pick.
  • All Maps allowed for pick.
Pauses:
  • Teams are allotted a 5 minute pause if technical issues occur.
  • If the technical issue cannot be resolved, teams may sub in their sixth player, or will ultimately need to forfeit.
  • Pausing must be enabled in the custom game settings.
Day 1 Round Robin Phase:
  • 2 Groups of 3 Teams
  • Each group plays a round robin
  • Each match is bo1
  • Top 2 from each group advance to final four
Map Selection:
  • Team A is randomly determined (coin flip)
  • Team A bans 1 map
  • Team B bans 1 map
  • Team A picks 1 of the remaining maps
  • Team B chooses side (Attack/Defend)
Day 2 Finals:
Best-of-3
  • Games 1 and 2:
  • Team A is determined by the higher point total from Round Robin stage. If same score, determined randomly (coin flip)
  • Team A bans 1 map
  • Team B bans 1 map
  • Team A picks 1 map as Map 1
  • Team B picks last map as Map 2 (automatically)
  • Team B chooses side (Attack/Defend)
Game 3:

*Team A is the team with the best cumulative Round Win differential from Games 1 & 2. If tied, determined randomly (coin flip).

  • Team A bans 1 map
  • Team B bans 1 map
  • Team A picks 1 map as Map 3; cannot be a map that Team A has already won.
  • Team B chooses side (Attack/Defend)

Tournament Rules

General Rules
  • We ask that you check in to your pools or bracket at least 15 minutes before scheduled start times. Smash.gg requires a lot of self reporting. For team games please be sure to communicate with each other and be ready to play. Should your match be streamed a moderator will let you know.

  • If you are able to, we ask that you use a wired connection while participating. This will help with optimizing your playing experience.

  • This website is designed to be user friendly for reporting your own matches, but should you have any questions please feel free to contact an admin.
