Event Rules

Rules: Utah Community Recommended Ruleset

Match Settings

  • 3-stock, 8 minutes, hazards off:

Stages:

  • Starting:

  • Counter Pick Stages:
    • FD*
    • Yoshi's Story
    • Lylat

Ban Procedure:

  • Game 1: 1 ban, 2 bans, 1 ban. Rock/Paper/Scissors with winner banning the first and last stage.
  • Game 2-5: Winner of previous game bans two stages. Remaining player/team picks from the remaining stages, but cannot pick a stage they have already won on.

Controllers:

  • Players must supply their own controller AND any adapter they need with the exception of a GameCube controller adapter.*

Miis and Extended Movesets:

  • All Mii moves are allowed No costumes allowed Players may request to see the selected moves before the match starts

Crew Battle Rules

Each corporate team will consist of 3 members with their stocks pooled together and each member having 3 stocks. When all of a team’s stocks are depleted, they lose. At the start of each crew battle each team will choose their first player and they will strike to determine the starting stage. After each game the losing team send up a new player then the winning player bans 2 stages and the losing team chooses the stage. At the beginning of each game (besides the first) the winning player will Self Destruct, so his stocks are equal to the amount he finished the last game with. Characters are locked. DSR is not applicable in crew battles. Stage list and other general rules are listed above.

Tournament Rules

Silicon Slopes Tech Summit is hosting its first ever Slopes Arcade Esports Tournament, Utah’s biggest gaming tournament, during SSTS20 on January 30-31, 2020 at the Salt Palace. This world-class tournament will showcase amateurs and pros, culminating with finals on center stage, streamed live for a global audience to watch the best in the world compete. Slopes Arcade Esports Tournament will consist of three competitions: Slopes Arcade High School Showdown, Slopes Arcade Corporate Clash, and Slopes Arcade Invitational.
