Sinon, ils procéderont à la phase de choix classique : Les deux joueurs procèdent à un shifumi. (Pierre-feuille-ciseau, en une seule manche) Le gagnant bannit 3 terrains parmi les 9. Le perdant bannit 4 terrains parmi les 6 restants. Le gagnant choisit parmi les 2 stages restants.

À partir de la deuxième game/partie: Le gagnant de la partie précédente bannit 3 stages parmi les 9. Le perdant choisit parmi les 6 stages restants.

Stage select

Gentleman’s agreement: Players may mutually agree on which stage to play on (all stages are allowed). Without an agreement, players will perform stage striking as follows: The players decide who strikes first with a single round of rock–paper–scissors. The winner bans 3 from the 9 stages. The loser bans 4 of the remaining 6 stages. The winner picks one of the 2 remaining stages to be played on.

From the second match onwards: The winner bans 3 of the 9 stages. The loser picks which of the remaining 6.
