Thunder Gaming presents the second Thunder Smash event: The SoCal Arcadian featuring a $5,000 prize pool and the $10,000 Invitational featuring 8 of the world's best players.   • Game version: US Nintendo Switch Game Settings: 3 Stock, 7 Minutes, Final Smash Meter: Off, Spirits: Off, Damage Handicap: Off, Stage Selection: Anyone, Items: Off and None, First to: 1 Win, Stage Morph: Off, Stage Hazards: Off, Team Attack: On, Launch Rate: * 0x, Underdog Boost: Off, Pausing: Off, Score Display: Off, % Show Damage: Yes, Custom Balance: Off, Echo Fighters: Separate, Radar: Big, 2/3 Games
  • Allowed Controllers: Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Pro Controller, Nintendo Joy-Con, SmashBox
  • Mii Fighters: All moveset combinations are legal
  • Amiibo’s are banned.
  • Starter stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Pokémon Stadium 2, Smashville, Town And City
  • Counter-pick stages: Kalos Pokémon League, Lylat Cruise, Yoshi’s Island (Brawl), Yoshi’s Story
  • First stage is decided by (Rock Paper Scissors) best of * Winner may choose to either strike a stage first or select a port first. Stages are struck in a P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
  • Following stages decided by winner striking two stages from all stages and then loser choosing.
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
  • You may not pick any stage you have previously won on during the set unless mutually agreed to.
  • You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.
  • If a game ends with a self-destruct move, the results screen will determine the winner.
  • Sudden Death with tied percentage/stock will result in a 1 stock/2 minutes playoff match.
  • There will be no loading anything on to the tournament consoles.

Mixed Crew Battle Ruleset
Stages
  • Final Destination, Battlefield, Smashville, Town and city, and Pokemon Stadium 2 are legal.
    Stage Striking and Banning
  • To determine who strikes first the starting players will open with Rock-Paper-Scissors (best of 1). The winning player will strike one stage, the opposing player will strike two stages, and the winning player will select the stage from the remaining two. This is a 1-2-1 format.
  • Incoming players are eligible to select any of the five playable stages. Their opponent does not ban a stage.
    Game Rules
  • Players will begin with three stocks and continue each match with the stocks leftover from the previous opponent.
  • Timer is 99:99.
  • Pause is set to Off.
    Character Locking and Lineup Submission
  • Tournament administration will choose the crews based on seeding from both the arcadian event and the invitational and make 2 crews of 8 players.
  • Captains will double-blind their lineups to tournament administration prior to individual crew battles.
  • This lineup must include:
    1. A list of every player that will be competing in the upcoming crew battle.
    2. The player that will be starting for the team.
    3. The character each player will use in the battle.
      1. Once the lineup is submitted players are character locked for the duration of that battle.
    4. If your team has to play multiple crew battles in a given event Captains will double-blind their lineups prior to every crew battle.
      Coaching
  • Between matches coaching is legal for up to one minute. It is encouraged to use a timer to enforce the time limit.
